This is a resource for project managers, technical advisers and MEAL staff who are looking to integrate DRR and resilience related activities into their programs. It provides examples of indicators which could be integrated into projects focused on DRR, Agriculture, Livelihoods, Health, WASH, Shelter and Education.
5.2 Community Based Disaster Preparedness How-to-Guide
This guide highlights the Community Based Disaster Preparedness Process. This process is intended to engage communities to identify the hazards faced in the community, highlight specific vulnerabilities and capacities present within the community, and develop plans of action to address these challenges.
Toward Resilience is an introductory resource for staff of development and humanitarian organizations working with people whose lives and rights are threatened by disasters and climate change. The guide provides essential introductory information, principles of effective practice, guidelines for action in a range of sectors and settings, case studies and links to useful tools and resources, for the application of an integrated, rights-based approach to disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation.

This document provides an overview of DRR programs at CRS and could serve as a useful guide to developing a DRR capacity statement.
5.5 Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction
This is the global framework for Disaster Risk Reduction from 2015 – 2030 as agreed upon by UN member states in March 2015. This highlights the key approaches and priorities for DRR. The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) reference the Sendai Framework in reference to resilience and DRR-related targets.
